Cedar Lux Properties

Luxury lakefront home builder website

Cedar Lux builds bespoke lakefront homes on Cedar Creek Lake, an hour from Dallas, with listings starting around $1.6M. The site had to sell a legacy purchase, not a house: buyers arriving from press coverage and word of mouth needed to feel the caliber of the homes before ever calling.

Design Decisions

Positioned the whole site around scarcity and place. The copy leads with Cedar Creek Lake itself and a small, curated set of featured properties rather than a searchable inventory grid, because a builder with a handful of seven-figure homes should feel like a private collection, not a listings portal.

Migrated the site to Next.js with server-side rendering so property pages are fully indexable, then wired Google Analytics and Search Console from day one. Press features from outlets like CandysDirt are surfaced on the homepage as third-party proof.

Property data lives in a Supabase database with incremental revalidation, so the team updates prices, status, and photos without touching code and changes reach the live site in minutes. Featured properties are flagged in data and capped, keeping the homepage deliberately sparse.
